Overview
Informatik Image Driver is a raster driver that creates JPEG,PDF and PDF files from any Windows application. It works like a standard printer driver. Simply "print" the document (EXCEL,PDF, POWERPOINT, TXT, WORD, etc.) selecting our Image driver from the print menu and an TIFF (single- or multipage, most compressions, b/w or color levels), a standard JPEG or a PDF file is created.
With optional modules you can also:
output JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, etc.
use different TIFF compressions (including Group 3),
add text annotations (with merge fields and placeholders),
insert watermarks and other image manipulation.(autorotate,gray scaling,resize)
The driver can be used to convert proprietary graphics formats; any file, any format that can be printed in Windows can be converted to a graphic file. Batch processing is possible in many cases with OLE Automation or with your own application.
The program file is less than 1.5mb; it installs in less than 10 seconds and the performance is 3-4 times faster than similar image drivers.
Informatik Image Driver is a native program; the output datastream is created directly , not via an indirect graphics conversion, hence the remarkable performance and high system reliability.
The TIFF and JPEG files have a complete tag set and are format compliant with the strictest industry standards. The PDF are build according to the latest valid specifications

The Image driver is based on the legendary Kyocera Printer Driver . This driver was the first one to use a GDI Module which outputted native PCL data – allowing maximum speed and superior print quality. This ‘Printer Driver’ has been further developed (incorporating native TIFF and PDF datastreams) and maintained (by the same team in Switzerland) and is now the de facto standard for ‘Image Driver’. Superior performance because the driver uses the native datastream and requires no intermediate conversion. High system reliability because the driver is a native program, not using troublesome third party libraries. It has the best possible compliance with industry TIFF (Specifications 6.0) and PDF (Version 1.6) standards. The driver supports many formats that are not supported by other drivers, such as F-Class, Filenet and Legacy G3.
